I'm Erica Hernandez
So glad you’re here! I’m Erica, the heart behind @ChefErica—where cooking, baking, and grazing come together in one flavorful space. With over 20 years of experience as a professional Chef, baker, and restaurateur, I’ve spent my life creating food that brings people together.
I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, into a true cook’s family. My grandmother’s kitchen was my playground and my classroom. She taught me the soul of cooking—measuring with your heart, feeding people with love, and never leaving the table without dessert. My grandfather was an incredible cook, too, and between them, they sparked a passion that became my life’s work.
I got my start at the historic Hotel El Convento in San Juan and went on to work in kitchens across Puerto Rico, Florida, New York, and New Jersey. From managing bustling restaurants to hosting intimate dinners and curating grazing tables for hundreds, I’ve done it all—with flavor, flair, and heart.
Somewhere along the way, I fell head over heels for charcuterie and grazing boards—edible works of art that turn any occasion into something unforgettable. Through @ChefErica, I now share my favorite recipes, entertaining tips, grazing board inspiration, and the kind of kitchen wisdom my grandma would be proud of.
